About Three Regional Initiatives for Disaster Risk Reduction "TRI-DRR"

We would like to bring to your notice, the Research Center for Urban Safety and Security (RCUSS) of Kobe University, has been organizing a capacity building and training programme on the theme of Disaster Risk Reduction for Urban Earthquake Disasters; for professionals in Asia, Middle East 6 North Africa (MENA), and Latin america regions. These training programmes are sponsored bu JICA. In 2010, we organized a Follow-up workshop from November 1-3 by inviting the 13 ex-participants of the above course to initiate the regional action plans for UDRR, and we strongly agree to initiate the action plan by selecting the group leaders and coordinators for Asia, MENA, and Latin America regions. The above Int. Workshops in an initiative created by the Asia, MENA and Latin America Regions. Our main purpose enhancing of UDRR network&activity among the Asia, MENA, Latin America groups and the international organizations due to contribute Global Disaster Risk Reduction Activities...
